Jake suddenly passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Louise, his son Nolan (Brenda), his daughter Janeen (Gary Turcott); his grandchildren, Karissa (Steve), Shelby, Alexis (James),
Wyatt, and Jessie. Also survived by his sisters, Marie Speller (Gordon), and Donna Reid, his brother-in-law, Bill Parks (Diane), and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Mary Schaeffer, infant son Jacob, infant sister Katherine, and his sister Gertrude Wilkins (Don). Jake was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 30 Erie Ave. N., Fisherville on Monday April 7, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. (Visitation 1 hour prior to service). Interment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
