Clayton Arthur Spears was born in Coburg, Ontario on July 17, 1940, to Art and Inez Spears. He passed away at Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Clayton is survived by his wife Helen, son Scott, daughter-in-law Kim, granddaughter Mackenzie, great-grandson Thomas, and brothers Ron and Wayne and their families. Clayton married Helen Radder December 21, 1962 in Wallaceburg, Ontario. They raised one son, Scott David Spears. Clayton joined the Royal Bank of Canada at the age of 16 in Hastings, Ontario. He then worked in Wallaceburg, Durham, Oakville and Fisherville. Clayton was a proud Lions Club member from 1965 to the present. He was also an avid volunteer and chaired many festivals, parades and “Fun Days” in the Fisherville, Cayuga and Selkirk areas. Friends are invited to call at MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 28 Caithness Street East, Caledonia on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 2 – 6 p.m. Private interment to follow at Cayuga Riverside Cemetery. A celebration of Clayt’s life will be held at the Fisherville District Lions Community Centre, 18 Main Avenue West, Fisherville on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 12-4 pm.
