Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at home in the early morning hours of Sunday, October 27, 2024, we lost a dearly loved man after a hard fought 10 year battle with cancer. Cherished husband of 42 years to Maureen Hewitt-Topp, absolutely wonderful father of Jennifer (Alexandre Hendrick), and adored grandfather to Artie, his pride and joy. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Gwen Topp. Jeff is survived by his sisters Judy Andison (Ron), and Jo-Anne Smith, brother-in-law Todd Hewitt, as well as nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Jeff was a volunteer firefighter with Haldimand County with over 40 years of service at both Canfield and Hagersville Stations, and a retired Brewer’s Retail employee. He was also a member of Hiram Lodge, Hagersville, and St. John’s Lodge, Cayuga. In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will not be a funeral service. An informal gathering will be held in the CE Wing of Hagersville United Church, Main St. S., Hagersville on Saturday November 9, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. Light lunch and beverages will be provided. Dress is casual. Come and share a story or two. Those wishing to do so may make memorial donations to Hiram Lodge, St. John’s Lodge, Hagersville Firefighters Association (cheques payable to HFFA, P.O.
