Budding chefs get cooking at 4-H Celebrity Chef Club

The Haldimand 4-H Celebrity Chef Club officially kicked off its 2025 season with two fun-filled and educational meetings that brought together young culinary enthusiasts from across the community. 

Held earlier this spring, the meetings offered a blend of learning, leadership, teamwork – and, of course, delicious food!

The heart of each meeting was hands-on culinary exploration of celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s cookbook, Guy Fieri Food: Cookin’ It, Livin’ It, Lovin’ It.

Recipes completed to date include bacon-jalapeño duck, Irish nachos, baklava cigars, brick-in-the-wall bird with salsa verde, and pepper jack pretzels.

With enthusiastic participation, new skills learned, and tasty dishes made, the first two meetings set a strong foundation for a flavourful season ahead. 

The club’s next gathering is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025, and members are already looking forward to what’s on the menu next!
