CALEDONIA — Once busy with farm animals and carnival rides, the Riverside Exhibition Centre at the Caledonia Fairgrounds was filled with the sounds of laughter and the smells of breakfast cooking this past weekend.
The annual Breakfast with Santa, in support of Caledonia Senior Support and the Caledonia Agricultural Society, took place Sunday, December 7, 2025.

This year was a sellout with 250 guests. They were treated to a huge breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausages, home fries, and – everyone’s favourite – pancakes with butter and maple syrup. Shortly after the breakfast began, the walls shook with the sounds of ‘Ho Ho Ho’ – but Santa was nowhere to be seen! The big and little kids alike looked for the source of that laughter, and suddenly he appeared!
Santa made a tour throughout the hall and stopped at every table to chat with all the children. As he made mental note of the presents asked for, he checked his list for who was naughty and nice; he was heard in secret that all the kids were on the good list!
Then in a blink of an eye, he was gone again, with a final shout of “Merry Christmas to all!”
