Quick opened the scoring at 4:17 in the first, assisted by Osborne. The Panthers equalized late in the frame, but Brassard reclaimed the lead with a power-play goal in the second, assisted by Joey Wassilyn and Sami Douglas-Najem.
Pelham’s relentless attack forced overtime after tying the game midway through the third.
Goaltender Davis Penner stood tall under pressure, making an impressive 47 saves on 49 shots for the Corvairs.
The game-winning moment came as Osborne netted found the net at 2:35, set up by Quick. The duo’s chemistry sealed a critical victory for the Corvairs, bringing relief to the home crowd.
The Corvairs will need to address defensive lapses and penalty issues as they prepare for upcoming games.
With the win, the Corvairs now sit tied for fourth place in the GOJHL’s eastern conference with the Port Colborne Sailors and Cambridge Redhawks with 24 points each, just one point behind third place and eight behind first.
Corvairs will next play November 23 in Cambridge at 7 p.m., and then host Cambridge on November 24 at 7:30 p.m.
