DUNNVILLE — The Optimist Club of Dunnville ended their 2024-2025 year on a high note.
On September 29, 2025, four Optimist members and four C.A.V.E. Junior Optimist International (JOI) members attended the Charter Party of Port Colborne’s Junior Optimist Club. It was a doubly special occasion, as Dunnville’s JOI team marked their first anniversary on September 30.
The newly inducted board of directors for the Optimist Club of Dunnville held their first meeting in early October. The club is already in full swing as they begin their 2025-2026 Optimist year.
Bursaries will be presented to two graduating students at Dunnville Secondary School’s commencement exercises.
Plans are well underway for the Optimists’ first fundraiser of the new operating year – the October 25 Designer Purse Bingo. Proceeds will support the Dunnville Minor Hockey Association U11/U13 Local League tournament, Dunnville Skating Club, and other youth initiatives.
Other upcoming events include a Fire Safety and Prevention presentation, which is free to the public, on November 1, followed by a Babysitting Course on November 15 and 16.
