HAGERSVILLE—Festive lights, holiday music, and the excitement of seeing Santa filled the streets of Hagersville on Friday, December 12, 2025 during the 14th annual Hagersville Santa Claus Parade.
Organized by the Hagersville Chamber of Commerce, the parade highlighted the generosity of the community. The Chamber’s 12 Days of Christmas campaign, which included donation drop boxes at eight local businesses and collections during the parade, saw 740lbs of food and household goods donated to the Hagersville Food Bank. In addition, the Chamber made its annual $500 donation.

Members of the Hagersville 150 Committee engaged with paradegoers, wrapping up the year of celebrating the town’s 150th anniversary by encouraging those in attendance to show their support for HGTV’s Home Town Takeover coming to Hagersville.
This year’s event saw nearly 70 parade floats, with the parade staging moving to the corner of Highway 6 and Parkview and the parade route reversed this year. Co-organizer’s Tim Otterman and Rob Phillips shared, “We learned a lot and have a few tweaks to make, but the change in staging location and direction was a huge success. It was a safer and well-lit area that people could prep their floats.”
The pair gave thanks to Haldimand County and the Haldimand OPP for their strong presence and guidance.
Following the parade, families gathered for An Evening with Santa at Hagersville United Church. The celebration featured festive music by the Haldimand-Norfolk Concert Band. The Hagersville Secondary School CrimeStoppers volunteers were a huge help, packing goodie bags for attendees and assisting Santa. A special thank you was also extended to Main 88 for generously donating 10 pizzas for attendees. Organizer of the evening, Charlie Garvie, shared that he was very happy with how the event went and was thankful to all who participated.
With strong community support, successful fundraising efforts, and plenty of holiday cheer, the 14th annual Hagersville Santa Claus Parade and Evening with Santa once again proved to be a highlight of the Christmas season in Hagersville.
