Hagersville Rocks parties through weekend rain

HAGERSVILLE—The Hagersville Rocks Music Festival saw two days of big talent and even bigger fun that refused to be dampened by any rain as several artists performed at Grant Kett Memorial Park. The July 14 “country night” saw about 1,500 attendees while the July 15 “rock night” saw about 2,500 attendees. HAGERSVILLE—The Hagersville Rocks Musical Festival entertained thousands of attendees on July 14 and 15, 2023. Along with a variety of country and rock acts were several food trucks, a clothing vendor, popcorn from the Hagersville Skating Club, and water from the Knights of Columbus. Shown during Friday’s festivities are: above left, Shawn Austin, who had the crowd singing his songs; and above right, Jess Moskaluke, who closed out the night breaking hearts and making several new fans. Rob Phillips of the Hagersville Rocks organizing committee said, “The event was very well attended and everyone was very impressed by the venue and by the artists that performed on each night. The artists themselves were thrilled to be part of this event and once again provided great feedback on what an amazing venue we have and the hard work to put this event together.” —Haldimand Press photos by Tim Buck.

HAGERSVILLE—July 15 saw Day 2 of Hagersville Rocks in Grant Kett Park. Amongst the many entertainers performing throughout the day, Big Sugar (left) thrilled the crowd with hits including Turn the Lights On and headliner Colin James (right) closed out the festival with many of his hits including Why’d You Lie.

The rain didn’t deter thousands of people who still enjoyed every moment of the day, including Richard and Fiona Cote (far right) who donned ponchos and huddled under a large umbrella saying, “We’ve still had a great time!” Phillips concluded, “The committee would like to thank our amazing sponsors, our dedicated volunteers, our vendors, and our community for their support.”
