HAGERSVILLE—Hagersville’s Keaton Garvie was part of a two-person team who took home gold in the Powerline Technician category at the recent province-wide Skills Ontario competition in Toronto.

Andrew King, one of Garvie’s professors at Cambrian College described watching the competition unfold, “That moment I watched the tasks unfold, I realized they ‘had this’ which made it a memory I will keep forever. This exposure and the networking that the students experienced will definitely help in creating friendships and opportunities within the industry. A sense of pride helps with the confidence to succeed.”
