JARVIS—The Jarvis community Remembrance Day Observance was held on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Jarvis Community Church. The service was a time of prayer and reflection and special readings. The traditional Roll Call announced the names of the fallen from WWI, WWII, the Air Force, Peacekeeping, and later conflicts. With the service moved indoors due to the weather, the wreaths were laid at the front of the church sanctuary by representatives of the federal, provincial, and municipal governments, the OPP, and several community organizations. Selkirk
SELKIRK—The Hagersville Legion visited Selkirk on Sunday, November 10, 2024 for the town’s annual service. The ceremony proceeded at the Selkirk Memorial Gates despite the rain.
