Haldimand to enact first-ever County Tree Bylaw

HALDIMAND—Council recently discussed the municipality’s first-ever County Tree Bylaw, which is designed to regulate the care, protection, planting, pruning, removal, and stump removal of trees on Haldimand-owned property. The bylaw is part of the County’s Urban Forest Management Plan, first approved by Council in 2016, and aimed at meeting obligations laid out in provincial Bill 68, Modernizing Ontario’s Municipal Act. …
