HAGERSVILLE — The Hawks remain outmatched.
On Friday, October 10, 2025 they travelled to the Grimsby Peach Kings, losing 8-1. The only bright spot of the game was a goal by Averee Sault at the 3:25 mark of the first period, unassisted on the powerplay.
On Saturday, October 11 the Hawks hosted to the Port Dover Sailors. The game started great for the Hawks with goals by Dryden Cruz General – assisted by Zach Ebert, Marcus Lazarevic, and Luke Leblanc – early and then in the closing two minutes Luke Leblanc scored assisted by Sault and Cole Jennings. Hawks were up 2-0 after 20 minutes.
Momentum began to turn midway through the second when the Sailors scored twice in 35 seconds to tie the game. Leblanc took the lead back, this time on the powerplay with assists to Sault and Lazarevic, but Dover tied it again a few minutes later.
The Sailors took the lead at 7:54 of the third on the powerplay. Halfway through the period Lazarevic tied the game, but Dover did not back down and took the lead again at the 12:30 mark. Hawks pulled netminder Liam Griffin in the dying moments and Dover put the puck in the open net to end the game 6-4.
Hagersville is now 0-9 this season. The Hawks host the Streetsville Derbys October 18 and travel to Port Dover October 19.
