CAYUGA—It took four committee members and 30 volunteers to make the first annual Cayuga Summer Festival happen on July 20-21, 2024. The hundreds of attendees visited the many vendors in the arena and food trucks in the parking lot, along with enjoying a petting zoo, bouncy castles, and dragsters. This fun was sandwiched by a fundraising breakfast at the Cayuga firehall in the morning, a townwide yard sale throughout Saturday, and a kids fishing derby on the Sunday, with about 100 children registered. They are already planning for next year’s event on the third Saturday in July, which will be July 19, 2025.
The animal friends in attendance were a popular attraction this year, with children getting to feed and pet everything from llamas to goats.
