LOWBANKS—A local couple is furious after Hydro One entered their property without notification this summer and removed a number of trees, damaging a carefully curated forested area and walking path they had built and maintained.
Michelle and her husband Daryl (last names withheld at Michelle’s request) first moved to the property in November 2019 to enjoy a slower pace of life. The home they found suited their needs perfectly, with 5.25 acres of property, including 3.5 acres forested with “a lot of dead ash,” said Michelle. “To date we have removed over 100 dead trees (lots more to go) – while being careful to not damage others around them.”
