OPP Brief: Stabbing in Dunnville, public’s assistance requested

DUNNVILLE—Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying three individuals involved in an incident in Haldimand County.

On Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at approximately 5:25 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), were called to a Lock Street, Dunnville address for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, an individual was located with wounds sustained from an edged weapon and was transported to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are actively conducting an ongoing investigation and are appealing to the public for assistance.

Two suspects are described to be of medium build, wearing face coverings and dark clothing. The third suspect is described to be of slim build, wearing a face covering and dark clothing.

This incident is believed to be isolated and with no broader threat to public safety.
