
CALEDONIA—Caledonia’s Business Achievement Awards for 2018 took place on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Warren Burger was the master of ceremonies and welcomed attendees. After cocktails and dinner, presentations for awards were made.

The Caledonia Regional Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is brand new and designed to encourage students to volunteer in the community and to make it a lifelong responsibility. The $1,000 scholarship was made possible thanks to MontHill Golf & Country Club and Scotiabank. Four applications were received. The student applying must be going on to post-secondary education; they must list the Chamber events that they participated in and provide written insight on how these events impacted their life.

Edinburgh Square Heritage & Cultural Centre
Tourism Caledonia recognized Edinburgh Square Heritage & Cultural Centre for its presentation of the history of Caledonia through educational and outreach activities, and the numerous permanent and temporary exhibits available. Most important are the improvements made to the 1857 building, an architectural-design edifice of the renowned John Turner.
