Canada Post back on strike

Following announcements about future reforms to Canada Post, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers launched a national strike on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
Any copies of the September 25 edition of The Haldimand Press that were not delivered prior to the strike beginning are now being held by Canada Post until the strike ends. If you did not receive this edition, you can access it digitally here.
Beginning with the October 2 edition, readers can pick up a physical edition at their local library or continue to access the newest edition online here.
Physical copies will be delivered to the following locations by 3 p.m. on Wednesdays:
- Caledonia Library – 100 Haddington St.
- Cayuga Library – 19 Talbot St. W.
- Dunnville Library – 317 Chestnut St.
- Hagersville Library – 13 Alma St.
- Jarvis Library – 2 Monsoon St. (Note: this location is closed Wednesdays and may receive the paper Thursdays by 3 p.m. instead.)
- Selkirk Library – 34 Main St. W.
- The Social – 7 Main St. E., Selkirk
Papers will be available during each location’s regular hours. Each library’s hours can be found here.
A limited number of papers are also available 24/7 in the newspaper box outside The Haldimand Press office at 6 Parkview Road, Hagersville.
