CALEDONIA—Grace United Church, Caledonia was excited to see the return of its Summer Camp the week of July 4-7, 2023. The “Wilderness Escape” adventure provided 26 campers with a fun-filled week exploring what it was like for Moses and the Israelites as they escaped from Egypt. Highlights of the week included learning a children’s version of the Ten Commandments. As well, this year the group participated in the Operation Kid-to-Kid Project by learning all about alpacas and how they can improve the lives of children and their families. A surprise visit by three alpacas was enjoyed by all. As a meaningful way for campers to show they care about kids in need, a donation was sent to the World Vision – Alpaca Program to help provide the gift of an alpaca to a family in Peru.
