Taking a pink stand against bullying

JARVIS—Pink Shirt Day took place February 23, 2022, which promotes anti-bullying in Canada each year on the last Wednesday of February. The initiative began in Nova Scotia in 2007 after two Grade 12 students bought and distributed 50 pink shirts in support of a Grade 9 student who had been bullied for wearing a pink polo shirt on the first day of school. Jarvis Community Christian School has participated in the initiative for a few years, and took part this year again with students and staff alike donning their pink shirts.
