There were pumpkins galore to decorate, popcorn to munch on, and hearty homemade soup to enjoy.
Visitors could take a hayride around town, dance along to music from the DJ, or pose for a photo in front of the harvest display.
event organizer Debbie Dohar poses with a project close to her heart – the Tree of Victory – which invited guests to bring gently used clothing for the women’s shelter in Simcoe.

oup servers Cheryl Walker and Lenore McKeen made sure attendees were well fed.
TOWNSEND—At the Harvestfest display are the ladies who helped organize the day’s activities: Christina Hill, Bonnie Hamilton, Debbie Dohar, Desiree McNiven, Cheryl Walker, Debbie MacKenzie, Lenore McKeen, and Angie Fehrman. Missing from the photo is Karen Bougher. The Lions extended thanks to Scotlynn for donating the pumpkins, Tim Hortons of Jarvis for providing coffee and Timbits, all the ladies who baked and made soup for the day, the many volunteers, and all attendees for making the day bright.
TOWNSEND—Why go small when you can bring the whole family out to Harvestfest? The Fehrman family did just that, with Darlene, Parker, Briar, Hayley McCormick, Marv, Tatum, Calder, and Angie Fehrman representing three generations. The Lions’ next big event is the Breakfast with Santa on December 13, 2025, with two sittings at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Come alone or bring the whole family!
