HAGERSVILLE—Over 800 people were entertained at the two shows presented by the Hagersville Skating Club for their 60th anniversary ice carnival on March 16, 2024. This year’s show was titled “Toys on Ice” and participants ranged from 3 to 17 years of age, with many alumni returning to participate in the themed event. A total of 14 themes were presented in each half including Toy Soldiers, Jack in the Box, GI joes, Farm Toys, and many more. The Hagersville Skating Club’s 60th anniversary ‘Toys on Ice’ carnival took place on Saturday, March 16 at the Hagersivlle Arena. A total of 14 themes were presented in each half.
Hagersville Skating Club’s Isla Nigh, senior figure skater, is competing in Provincials this weekend, March 22-24, in Brampton for Star 5 Artistic. Thirty figure skaters are competing in the event. This season Isla has placed first for Star 5 Artistic in all the competitions she has competed in. Good luck Isla!
