CALEDONIA—A portion of Argyle Street and Forfar Street West parking has been closed near the bridge as work is done for the preliminary relocation work associated with the bridge replacement.
“This work includes underground cable vault rebuilds, underground conduit replacement and installation, placement of new cast-in place cable vaults, directional boring work, and new cable installation. This work is going to take place both north, south, and west of the current Argyle Street Bridge,” said an update posted by Haldimand County on January 29, 2020. The Forfar Street West parking closure began February 3 and is expected to continue until the end of the month.
