SOUTH CAYUGA—When Christmas came and went at the South Cayuga Community Church (SCCC) without the usual gathering of the congregation, the undecorated Christmas tree stood as a grim reminder of these challenging times.
Pastor Dawn Young Hill said, “The Christmas tree sat undecorated in the sanctuary after Christmas looking sad…. There was no hurry to get it down and out of the sanctuary since we have not had in-person worship since March of last year.”
