DUNNVILLE — Local print shop Sticker-It has thrown their support behind the Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation (DHHF) with a fun Canada Day-themed promotion.

The company, which specializes in graphics, signs, and printing is offering three varieties of lawn signs to local residents: “We are selling Canada Day lawn signs to celebrate as there are still many restrictions with the current pandemic,” said Shane Van Egmond, Owner of Sticker-It.

“This was an idea to keep Canada Day as a time of fun and fellowship and to reflect on what Canada is to each one of us,” he continued. “We decided to include a donation to DHHF to help bring the community together.”

The three signs include a ‘Canadian Eh, Let’s Celebrate’ sign for $10, or an upgraded, flag-shaped version available for $15. The third option is a Canada Day kit which includes the shaped sign as well as two ‘Eh’ maple leaf signs for $30. From that, $2/sign and $5/kit will be donated to DHHF.

“With gathering restrictions in effect for Ontario we figured this would be a great way to celebrate and bring fun and cheer to our local community,” said Van Egmond.

Those interested in picking up a sign can visit Sticker-It at 502 Cedar Street in Dunnville between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. Signs are also available online at sticker-it.ca, where patrons can order a curbside pickup. Van Egmond mentioned that they plan to be present at the Dunnville Farmer’s Market this Saturday from 7  a.m. to noon to sell the signs as well.

“The hospital is an important part of our community. Not only does it support jobs for local people, it gives medical care to us,” said Van Egmond.

He continued, “It is important to keep our hospital up and running for our local and surrounding communities. As a community we need to support local in both donations to not-for-profits and by shopping at all our local businesses. That’s what helps make us strong.”
