CREDIT—On December 26, 2021 at 12:23 p.m., a member of the Haldimand OPP was conducting general patrol on Mississauga Road in Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation when they observed an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) with no licence plates travelling on the roadway.
The officer also observed that the driver of the ATV was in possession of a firearm.
A traffic stop was conducted and it was discovered that the ATV was stolen. As a result of the investigation a 33-year-old of Ohsweken has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Transport of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition in a Careless Manner.
The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
