Peacefully at West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville, surrounded by his family, the Lord called home His child on Monday, October 13, 2025 in his 90th year. Beloved husband for almost 65 years of the late Caroline (nee Rounce). Predeceased by his son Richard Walter (Ricky) (1957) and dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Lynne and Karl Hogeterp, (Sarah and Adam Butcher – Silas, Asa, Amadea), (Amy and Lance Visser – Kennedy, Felicity), (Kevin and Danielle Hogeterp – Gerrit, Josephine, Mackenzie), Laurie and Arthur Struyk (Daniel and Natalie Struyk) and (Heather and Jeff Lobodzinski – James). Brother of Julie (Vinnie) Goldbach, the late Alfred (the late Doreen) Irwin, the late Donald (the late Marie) Irwin, the late Lloyd (the late Maralyn) Irwin. Brother-in-law of Isabelle (the late Neil) Adcock, the late Sam (Lois) Rounce, the late Mary (George) Alting, Bill (Cathie) Rounce. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot Street West, Jarvis on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A private family service to honour and remember Walter will be held at a later date.
