CALEDONIA—Haldimand Council has approved funding to support the Caledonia Community Foundation (CCF) in bringing “Lights Along the Grand” for the next four years. This interactive light display will be set to music along the accessible path in Kinsmen Park and will replace the Christmas display installed at the Old Mill.

“Overall the group has a great plan in place and I see this as a win-win for both the community group and partnership program,” said Ward 3 Councillor Dan Lawrence.

Displays will consist of a Candy Cane Lane, lighted trees, and an interactive snowball fight. The design plan of the new lighting display was completed by Michael Montgomery and Adam Harrison, the original designers of the Old Mill light display. The light project will require improvements to the electrical capacity infrastructure of the park. The installation will be completed by AMCorp and the Caledonia Regional Chamber of Commerce (CRCC) Special Projects Group. The full installation is scheduled to be completed in 2022, although displays will be present in 2019 and purchased over time.
