TOWNSEND—It was an ideal day for an end-of-summer carnival at Parkview Meadows Retirement Home in Townsend.
TOWNSEND—There were a variety of fun activities at Parkview Meadows’ Carnival Day on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Brinley Bennett, 15 months, visited with the goats.

TOWNSEND—Parkview Meadows Retirement Home hosted a carnival on September 13, 2025/ Some of the residents helped run the stations, like (l-r) Lenore McKeen, Darlene MacDonald, and Helen Ford.
TOWNSEND—Volunteers kept visitors well fed and energized for the fun. Tending the barbecue were (l-r) Ian Cooper, Brian Paterson, and Doug Thompson.
TOWNSEND—There were many fun activities to enjoy. Siblings Noah, 2, (left) and Ellie, 5, Cunningham enjoyed the bouncy dragon.
TOWNSEND—Maintenance Supervisor Jon Toal was one of the dunk tank targets.

TOWNSEND—Guests could check out a firetruck and talk to firefighters (l-r) Matt Bertrand, Anthony Elliott, and Kyle Miedema from the Jarvis fire station.

The festivities took place on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Each participant purchased tickets, which were then redeemed at each station. The carnival was huge success, with the young and old taking part in all the festivities. A total of $7,800 was raised, which will support Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice.
