HALDIMAND—Only days after a Selkirk business burned on February 13, a Dunnnville business and Hagersville home also caught fire.
Dunnville Auto Wreckers on Broad Street East in Dunnville went up in flames on Tuesday, February 20, 2019. Damages are estimated at $300,000.
OPP and Haldimand County Fire Services responded at 2:42 p.m. to find “heavy fire and smoke conditions”, said Fire Chief Jason Gallagher.
Fire Services extinguished the fire, which was under control by 6:05 p.m., and confirmed there were no occupants inside. While weather partly played a factor in this fire, as high winds helped fuel it, Gallagher noted “the type of structure also affected the spread of fire throughout.”
