Haldimand Heroes getting big thank you from Heaslip Ford and community

HAGERSVILLE—Heaslip Ford has begun a project to thank frontline and essential workers helping to battle COVID-19 in the community. 

On Tuesday, April 28, 2020 Heaslip Ford launched the GoFundMe page titled Haldimand Heroes, with funds raised going towards providing meals to essential workers. The project will also help to support local restaurants. So far Shelly’s Catering located on Kohler Road in Cayuga and Dinger’s Taps & Grill on Main Street in Hagersville have agreed to prepare the meals. The original goal of the GoFundMe page was to raise $2,500. The page had already reached that goal by Sunday, May 3. 

“The response has been overwhelming,” said Shawndel Bachmann, Executive Assistant/HR Manager at Heaslip Ford. “It’s nice to know we are all on the same page with supporting these workers.”
