CAYUGA—Remembrance Day services across Haldimand were limited in their number of in-person attendees this year as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, making this year’s services a little different than past services. Hagersville and Jarvis broadcasted their services on Facebook Live. The Cayuga Legion held their service at their new flagpole and not at its usual cenotaph location. The ceremony was only for a small group of members, and wreaths were left at the flagpole for five days for residents to come and pay their respects. Shown are Legion members at the service: Doug Dring, Andrew Robertson, Jeff Hunt, and Judy Marigold.

HAGERSVILLE—While many people tuned in to Remembrance Day services online, on television, or on the radio, some people created their own displays right at home. One example was in Hagersville at the home of Brenda and Ray Gallant at 4386 Highway 6, between Hewitt’s Dairy Bar and 2nd Line. Shown above is the Gallant’s display. —Haldimand Press photo by Jillian Zynomirski.
