HAGERSVILLE—Students at Hagersville Secondary School (HSS) have contributed to the most important meal of the day with a successful cereal drive organized by the HSS Crime Stoppers. The collection took place during the last week of November with a competition between homerooms resulting in 160 boxes of cereal for the Hagersville Food Bank. The cereal drive is just one of many activities for the student Crime Stoppers this season. Teacher and staff advisor Andrea Reicheld-King says, “They’ve been so busy. They helped with the Jarvis Lions food drive and are getting ready for Hagersville’s evening with Santa, Breakfast with Santa in Jarvis, and other Jarvis Light Up! events.” They are also looking forward to the staff versus student volleyball game, which will feature a surprise “superstar” team and the annual alumni hockey game.
