JARVIS—On opening night of the 2024 Jarvis Lions’ annual show, $1,100 dollars was raised, which will be matched dollar for dollar by the Jarvis Lions, making it a very profitable night for the refurbishment of the pavilion in the Jarvis Lions Ball Park. Shows took place from February 29 to March 2, with attendance growing each night to over 300 for the final show. A total of $4,391 was raised from the intermission sales, which will total $8,782 after the Lions’ matching donation. Above left, “Crocodile Rock” Lion Cory McBride shines brightly on stage. JARVIS—On Thursday, February 29, 2024 approximately 200 people attended opening night of the Jarvis Lions’ 69th annual variety show, titled Late Night. The evening was filled with music and comedic sketches, all preformed by Jarvis Lion members. At the intermission Lions were selling candy and fudge as a fundraiser, with the proceeds going to the completion of the refurbishment of the pavilion in the Jarvis Lions Ball Park. Above, duck hunters clad in camo watched as a bright yellow duck came swooping over the stage, with Lions Jordan Best, Jim Winkworth, and Dennis Craddock up front for this scene.
