My name is Deb McKeen. My husband and I live on a farm in Ward 1. This farm has been in the family for generations. We enjoy the rural way of life and want to see it continue.
Unfortunately, the MZO will have a huge negative impact on us and this area in my opinion. My attendance at recent Council meetings has sparked a greater interest in how our Council is operating. Why are our elected officials banned from meetings? What is our Council coming to?
There are many worthy projects like walking trails, Norfolk Haldimand Hospice, swimming pools to name a few. We need a municipal government that votes for the betterment of our community. Is that what we currently have? With the upcoming byelection, I believe that the people have the chance to vote their opinion. Let’s see where the population puts their faith.
