HAGERSVILLE—After being closed for over a month due to the lockdown, pet groomers were allowed to reopen last week. However, some groomers are questioning why they weren’t considered essential in the first place.
The Halidmand Press spoke with local groomer Amelia Griffin, owner and groomer at Amelia’s Dog Grooming in Hagersville, who is “very grateful to be open again.”
Griffin added, “I am really unsure as to why we were never considered essential the first time around. This second lockdown has me even more confused because we fought so hard for this in round one.”
Even under the current reopening, pet groomers can only open under the following restrictions:
