CAYUGA—An individual is facing charges after attempting to ram a cruiser in Cayuga. On June 18, 2025 at approximately 1:55 a.m. the Haldimand OPP took a driver into custody after they intentionally drove towards a police vehicle. The officer was forced to take evasive action to avoid a collision. No injuries were reported.
A 65-year-old from Caledonia has been charged with the following offences:
- Dangerous Operation
- Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other than to Attend Court
The accused remained in custody and was scheduled appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 18.
