HALDIMAND–A 21-year-old Hannon resident is facing charges following a traffic stop in Haldimand County.
On October 8, 2025 at approximately 1:35 a.m., a vehicle driving on Highway 6 caught the attention of members of the Haldimand OPP, and they conducted a traffic stop. The driver was charged with:
- Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Driving a motor vehicle – performing a stunt – excessive speed
- Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit
- Disobeying a stop sign – failure to stop (two counts)
- Driver failure to surrender licence
The charges have not been proven in court. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario court of Justice in Cayuga on November 4.
