Passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Centre in Toronto on Saturday, June 10, 2023 in her 66th year.  Beloved wife of Ivan. Cherished mother of Vytautas.  Survived by her sisters Monica (best friend) and Al, and Dalia, and brothers Valdemar (Nella), and Romualda (Leda); and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Romas and Betty. Ivan and Vita were together for over 38 years raising their family in the Etobicoke area. Vita retired from the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) and 42 years service, working as an Executive Assistant to the Legal Department. Vita enjoyed gardening, shopping and watching sporting events. She had a love of animals and any donations should go to the Simcoe & District Humane Society.  Many thanks to the Staff at St. Joe’s Hospital. The family will honour Vita’s life with a visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel, 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m.  Interment to follow at Balmoral Cemetery.  www.rhbanderson.com

Peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on Tuesday May 30, 2023 surrounded by love – Peter Maurice Leonard left his earthly home. Peter was the beloved husband of the late Linda (Nolan – 2022). Cherished father and best friend to Jeff, and Paul (Jessica). He was a treasured grandpa to Shandi, Shavannah, Kattera, and Matthew. A great-great grandpa to Rayleigh. He will be missed by all. Survived by his sister Paula (John), niece Terri (Chris) and their families. Predeceased by his parents Maurice & Monica, sisters Joanie, Yvonne, and Marie. Lovingly remembered by Bonnie (Dan deceased), Lana (Ken deceased), Diane (Barry), Donna (David), and the late Nancy & Brian Nolan. Also remembered by many nieces & nephews, and a great circle of friends – Karl & Jacqueline Cavanagh, John & Violet, Betty (Neil deceased), Jim & Ann, Johnny Williamson, Ed & Gail, WendyHibbard, Jay & Yvonne, and Lynne Garn. Peter was a dedicated employee of Dofasco for over 40 years. In his retirement he enjoyed part-time employment with Simington Motors. Ruth passed away peacefully at Anson Place on Thursday May 25, 2023.  Wife of Jack (2010) and mother of John, Richard, Barry, and Holly.  The family is grateful to Anson Place staff for their excellent care given to her these past two years.  A special thank you to the family of Diane Secord for their constant support of Ruth.  Interment was held at Hagersville Cemetery.   Rest in peace Mom — till we meet again.

July 10, 1934- May 23, 2023 Called home into the Arms of Jesus.  Evelyn passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at West Haldimand Hospital, Hagersville on Tuesday, May 23rd in her 89th year.   Loving wife of the late Bart Kramer for 66 years. Cherished mother of Debbie MacDonald (and Randy LeBlanc), Bert(and Margaret) Brenda (and Craig) Anderson, Sharon (and Luc) Vandeven, Judy (and John) Johnson, David (and Darlene).  Loving and devoted grandmother and great grandmother to Justin(and Adriana), Michael (and Carrie), Joe (and Erika), Jeremy (and Stephanie), Bert, Doug (and Natashia), Shaun (and Angela), Mary (and Phil), Sarah (and Dallas), Amanda (and Sean), Trevor (and Brittany), Angela (and Mike), Erika, and 30 great grandchildren.  Dear sister and sister-in-law to Rennie-Lou McIntyre (and Jim), Lola (and Bob) Stremler, Evelyn will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Predeceased by her brothers Donald Teal (late Shirley) and Norman Teal (late Birdie) and by her son-in-law Dennis Goodburn.  Evelyn was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.  She loved her Lord and her church.  She was a woman of great faith and integrity. She enjoyed life and everything it had to offer. Her eyes always lit up when her grandchildren and great grandchildren would come for a visit.  She enjoyed Tea parties with her children and morning coffee with her son-in-law Luc. She will be missed by her dog Cuddles. A visitation was held at the Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Friday, May 26th, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.   A funeral service was celebrated at the Highway Pentecostal Church, 4501 Highway 6, Hagersville on Saturday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m.   Pastor Rob Sharpe officiated.   Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford.   Memorial donations to Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton would be appreciated by the family.  www.thompsonmottfuneralhome.com
