Thank you Jarvis Community Christian School

To the Editor,

On May 15, 2023, Jarvis Caring Cupboard (food bank) was abundantly blessed by the children of Jarvis Community Christian School.

I had the joy of meeting their bus at Ron’s No Frills in Hagersville for a “shopping trip”. The Grade 3 class, accompanied by Principal Chad Haverkamp, arrived at the store to be greeted by Ron. Over $4,000 of pre-ordered food was ready to be loaded on the bus and then the fun began.

The children, with help from a teacher and some moms, accompanied me into the store. We had $1,000 and five shopping carts. I gave a list of some needs and the opportunity for the children to make some personal choices.

Along with potatoes, cheese, cereal, and cucumbers, the carts were filled with Pringles, fruit cups, and cookies.

Fortunately, we had a dedicated check out. Thank you Jenna. The bus then delivered children and food to our Jarvis Caring Cupboard in Nanticoke.

We would like to thank Jarvis Christian Community School, Principal Haverkamp and helpers, and Ron’s No Frills of Hagersville and his staff.

Our food bank was blessed, as it says in the gospel of Luke… Pressed down full measure running over….

Thank you all so very, very much.

Shirley Teal,

Jarvis Caring Cupboard
