HALDIMAND—The United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk continues to drive measurable change and improve the lives of thousands across Haldimand and Norfolk through the generous support of individuals, local businesses, and corporate donations. 

Through this continued commitment and dedication to United Way, equity-deserving families are able to access valuable services provided by non-profit agencies that United Way supports. 

  The United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk is pleased to announce their funding allocations for 2023-2024 to six separate agencies across Haldimand and Norfolk, delivering nine unique programs. 

The funding focus remains on social issues that are linked to overcoming poverty, supporting youth, and creating thriving, strong communities.

  “As we exit the pandemic and the effects on our community, we are pleased to continue supporting local agencies in their programs” said George Araujo, the United Way’s Executive Director. 

United Way President David Sykes was pleased with fundraising efforts of everyone in the past year. He explained, “The residents and businesses of our community provided generous support, enabling the funding for vital programing with a focus on social wellbeing and inclusion for all. We are very grateful to all in Haldimand and Norfolk who gave.” 

  Funding is distributed under United Way’s three pillars – All That Kids Can Be, Healthy People and Strong Communities, and From Poverty to Possibility. 

The 2023-24 Agency/Partners of United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk include: Community Support Centre Haldimand Norfolk’s Cypress 55+ Program; Dalhousie Place’s Parenting After Separation; Haldimand-Norfolk REACH’s Volunteer Services and Single Session Clinic; Norfolk Association for Community Living’s New Horizons Respite Service and Basic Job Readiness Training; Norfolk Community Help Centre’s Settlement Services; and True Experience Supportive Housing and Community Work Program’s Path to Possibilities and Club TRUE.
