Editor’s Note: The following is a portion of a letter sent to Dunnville Chamber of Commerce members on April 15, 2019. It follows a failed annual general meeting on March 26 when the Board was unable to move the agenda forward due to challenges raised by some audience members.

DUNNVILLE—Your Dunnville Chamber of Commerce has seen significant recent challenges. I wanted to reach out to make you aware of the steps we are taking to ensure we emerge from our current tribulations stronger than before and better able to support the Dunnville business community … We are pleased to report some forward movement of this peace process, including the establishment of an ad hoc committee to work on procedures and bylaws … A number of falsehoods and embellishments have surfaced lately on social media. We are deliberately attempting to disengage from such discussions and would much rather address concerns with you in person or by telephone … Please reach out directly to me or to any of our members of the Board of Directors to discuss directly any areas of concern. If you leave your number or name either at the Chamber office or on our voicemail or email, I will follow up directly with you.
