A new life for the Old Mill; open house coming soon

CALEDONIA—After a year of construction to rebuild the Caledonia Old Mill in its previous image, it is nearing completion and a public open house is coming on December 17, 2019.

“We are about three weeks away from (substantial) completion now,” said Garett Eggink of Riverside Properties, which owns the building. He added that they are currently doing finishing touches and moving artifacts into the building.

Riverside Properties is seeking occupants for the new year. Eggink noted, “We do have a few tenants in negotiation and have secured two … Additionally, we are opening a micro office space for small business, those that work from home and looking for a seat away from home, and large corporations who require remote office space or desk space for employees.”

This micro office space will come with mail services, internet, meeting rooms, and full access on their schedules to utilize the office. Eggink added, “It will resemble a café-style space with chairs, tables and so forth. It will also have a few small offices within it that can be rented longer term.”
