I first met Natasha Davies when I registered her for kindergarten at Caledonia Centennial Public School. She just recently celebrated her 16th birthday.
Natasha’s Mom, Joanne, recently told me about some cooking and baking that Natasha has been doing for her family during this quarantine. She made these cheesy beef quesadillas using a combination of cheeses and her family all thought they were delicious. She also did this bacon and cheese spaghetti and it, too, was a hit.
Natasha has always loved to help her mom bake. She has helped her mom a lot with bread making and even makes her own tortillas. It’s only been in the last little while that she has really developed a love for cooking. At the start of this lockdown her mom asked her to find a take-out style meal for a Friday dinner. After her first successful and delicious meal of taco pasta, she said she would make every Friday dinner. She searches for recipes weekly, finds a recipe she likes, goes through the pantry to see what she needs and then writes a shopping list, price matching the items.
As well as enjoying cooking, Natasha loves to play hockey and has been playing since she was 5. She also is a cat mum to an orange tabby named Burn. She enjoys family games, going for hikes, and spending time with her friends. Thanks Natasha for sharing these recipes.
