I recently had a request for a beef pot pie and I found this recipe in a pamphlet from Foodland Ontario. I like their recipes as they are the old-fashioned kind made with ordinary and local ingredients. This recipe takes a bit of time to prepare but it is certainly worth it. The recipe as shown serves 12, but you could certainly make just half. It also freezes well. Be sure to tuck the puff pastry down into the sides of the pan before baking.

I got this recipe for oven baked salmon from Yvonne Therrien of Caledonia. It makes four servings. She made it in a convection oven, but you could use an ordinary oven, too. Just make sure that the internal temperature is 145 degrees. If you don’t have a rack, just use the foil and spray it. Yvonne drizzled a bit more maple syrup over the salmon before enjoying it. I recently had a request for the Rice Krispies square recipe as it doesn’t appear on the box like it used to. Fortunately, I copied it out several years ago as both my kids really liked them. Please note that last week’s casserole should have been labelled as cauliflower and broccoli, not rice.
