SELKIRK—The Cottonwood Mansion Car Show was a great time for all involved on August 6, 2022. There were many prizes up for grabs at the event. Prize categories included Best of Show, Best Racer, Best Mopar, Best Foreign Car, Best Street Rod, and the People’s Choice Awards, to name a few. There was even a prize for the furthest distance travelled, which was awarded to Michael Wheeler of Toronto. Wheeler won brunch for four at the Elmhurst Inn & Spa. Prizes were announced by President of the Cottonwood Mansion Preservation Society and Event Organizer, Clayt Spears.

SELKIRK—Winner of the $200 Caledonia Tire prize was Mark Presley of Fonthill with his 1937 Ford Coupe. Mark won 4th place in the People’s Choice.

SELKIRK—Charles Gee and grandson Gabriel Polanco of Fishersville won with their 1969 Plymouth Signet, getting car cleaning supplies for cleanest tires and wheels.

SELKIRK—Phil Freeman stands beside a Lantern Lanes Farm original dairy truck, a 1952 Dodge Fargo. Owners Paul and Judy Rushton are third generation dairy farmers in Haldimand. John H. Rushton was the original owner. The truck is still running, although it’s more of a show truck nowadays.

SELKIRK—Bruce Frost from Port Dover was delighted to win most prizes overall for his 1959 Pontiac Bonneville. He won People’s Choice for Best of Show, Best GM vehicle, and 1st Place for Best of the Best, which was a $500 prize donated by the Cottonwood Mansion board members.
