HALDIMAND—Deputy Chief Dan Williston of Haldimand’s Paramedic Services and Emergency Services officially retired from his role back in April, but was given a send-off during last week’s Council session.
Williston retired after 33 years of service to the community. His career began back in 1988, working out of Port Colborne. It wasn’t long before he transferred to the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital in Dunnville, where he first worked as an emergency medical care attendant and a paramedic before becoming the manager of ambulance services.
