HAGERSVILLE—On June 20, 2019 members of the Children’s Safety Village of Haldimand Norfolk set up a fundraising barbecue at the Heaslip Ford Dealership on Main St. in Hagersville.
“We collected $240.80 in donations. Despite the weather it went very well. We’d like to put a big thank you to all who supported us. Plus a big thank you to Heaslip Ford for sponsoring us on this event,” said Myerscough.
The funds will go toward the purchase of a property behind the Jarvis Fire Department. The facility will have programming for people aged 2 to 110, such as CPR/First Aid and assistance to youth preparing for college/university.
Myerscough added, “The budget for the project is $3.5 million and is expected to cost $125,000 per year to operate. We would be happy to come out to do a presentation to anyone interested in learning about us.” For information on the project and programs visit safetyvillagehn.ca.
