March 14, 1950 – November 27, 2025 It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of our sister MaryLou.  She died suddenly in hospital.  She was predeceased by her husband John Regos and her parents Wilma and Lon Willard of Hagersville.  Her siblings Susan (Jeff), Marc (Gwen), and Donna (Murray) will keep our memories of her forever.  Many thanks to the medical staff and nurses at Mt. Sinae, Princess Margaret, and Toronto General Hospitals. April 13, 1949 – December 2, 2025 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ivan James Touesnard in his 77th year on December 2, 2025. Ivan was married to the late Marlene (McBride) for over 52 years. He was the loving father of Louise (John) Townsend and the late Lisa (Wayne) Pender. Ivan will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Alyssah, Lindsay, and Braden. Ivan was born in River Tillard, Nova Scotia, to parents Joseph and Elizabeth (Stone). Brother to Millie (Fred), late John, late David, late Betty Ann (late Wilfred), Tony (Judy), Lorraine (late Patrick), Ernie (Vicky), Albert (late Janice), Wayne (Edwina), Phyllis, Martin (Betty), Marilyn (Roy), Laura (Carl), Lesley (Kenneth), and Mary Ellen. Dear brother-in-law to Wayne (Lisa) McBride, and the late Dwight (late Donna) McBride. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ivan worked many years as a truck driver. Even after retirement, Ivan continued to work for Haldimand Commercial Maintenance. Passed away peacefully at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side, on November 27, 2025 in the 86th year. Cherished mother of Karen (Lloyd) Vollick, David (Carol), Patti (Dave) Reynolds and Tim (Angela). Devoted and fun grandmother of Adam (Jess), Jim, Breanne (Arend), Andrew (Ariana), Macy (Connor), David Jr., Maxwell, Ethan, Denny, Liam, Alicia (Sem); and great-grandchildren Aliyah, Bijou and Velvet. Sister of Maxine (†John), Anne, Jim (†Kathy). Predeceased by her husband Clayton “Duke”, her siblings Bob (Verna), Marion (Gerald) and Craig. She will also be missed by her extended family Bobby, Donna †Cheryl and Mike.  Sheila was a fan of the Dunnville Mudcats and Terriers and was the washer of their jerseys.  She enjoyed doing ceramics and collecting Bradford Exchange. The coffee was always on and the door was always open at Sheila and Duke’s place. As per Sheila’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place in the new year. Surrounded by the love of her family, Ruth passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the age of 86.  Ruth is survived by her loving son, Mark. Predeceased by her loving husband, Paul (August 2024) and her cherished son, Scott (January 2025).  Dearly loved and missed by her sister Shirley (Peter deLeeuw) and her sister-in-law, Wendy (Rick Levac). Ruth loved and was loved by her many nieces and nephews, Shelley and Ben Gona, Tracey deLeeuw, Anna Marie Dodge, Stephanie and Arek Rzadkowski, Chris and Nicole Levac. Loving great-aunt to John Peddle, Shaina, Sean, Kaylie and Hayden Gordon, Craig Peddle and Kassidy Schenk, Jessica Dodge and Sam James, Eric and Oakley Dodge, and Zayden Rzadkowski. Fondly remembered by Gabriella Riccio. Ruth was also predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Marlene and Bill Shaw, her parents, John and Maude Lawrence, and in-laws, Fred and Shirley Lewis. Ruth’s fur babies Ralphie, Lucy and Sophia gave her much love and happiness. Ruth was a founding member of the Grace United Caledonia, “Along the Grand” Christmas house tour and an original member of “Bells of Grace”. Ruth and family were blessed by many dear friends and neighbours, and Ruth was famous in the neighborhood for her many “Thank You” lemon pies. Ruth’s family would like to thank the staff at RVilla, the Haldimand County Paramedics, and the staff of Hagersville Hospital for their compassionate care for Ruth and her whole family. Funeral service will be held at Caledonia Presbyterian Church, 117 Argyle Street North, December 6, 2025 at 1 p.m., preceded by visitation from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  Reception immediately following the service.  Private family interment to take place at a later date. 1932 – 2025 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dorothy Jane Doughty announces her peaceful passing on November 23, 2025, at the age of 93, in the comfort of her home, with her son Allan and daughter-in-law Tracey lovingly by her side. Raised in Simcoe, Ontario, by the late Thelma Randall, Dorothy made her home in Jarvis. It was there that she created a life filled with love, family, and a deep appreciation for the land. She shared her life with her devoted husband, Jack, raising their two children, Karen and Allan, on the family farm she cherished so dearly. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack (2004), whose memory she carried close to her heart. Dorothy was a woman of quiet strength, gentle humour, and steadfast faith. A proud member of Wesley United Church, she lived her values with grace and kindness. Her dedication to her church community was evident throughout her life: she served for over 20 years as a CGIT leader, Explorer leader, Sunday School teacher, and later as a Sunday School superintendent; she was also a charter member of the Jarvis Public Library and a founding member of JAAA. She had a lifelong passion for gardening, taking great joy in tending the soil and—most of all—pulling weeds, a task she claimed brought her peace. Her love of animals was evident to all who knew her, as was her joy in farm life. Family was the centre of Dorothy’s world. She is survived by her daughter, Karen, and her son Allan and his wife, Tracey, and was predeceased by her son-in-law, John Brown. She was also predeceased by her dear sister-in-law, Helen Fish. Dorothy was a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to: Melanie Bryant (Travis) and their children, Linkoln, Lennox, and Clay; Melissa Brown; Jonathan Doughty; Kristy Jackson (Alex) and their children, Emery and Makenna; and Kayla Fitzgerald (Josh) and their children, Scarlett and Ryker. She also leaves behind her nephew, Stephen Fish (Kate), and their daughters, Claire and Evelyn; and her niece, Carolyn Fish (Hurvano Gutierrez), all of whom held a special place in her heart. Dorothy’s home was always filled with warmth, especially when her great-grandchildren visited. One of her greatest joys was listening to them play her piano—a sound that brought her immense happiness in her later years. Her legacy is one of love, family, and the simple beauty she found in everyday life. She will be forever remembered for her kindness, her devotion, and the gentle way she nurtured everyone—and everything—around her. Passed away peacefully at her home in Nanticoke on November 10, 2025, in her 73rd year. Lee was the beloved wife of Richard Bartlett. Cherished mother and grandmother of Melanie West and Rob Matzig (Ethan West and Liam West) of Simcoe, Corrie West and Jason Rusnak (Keira Rusnak and Connor Rusnak) of Stoney Creek), Sara and Andrew Tebworth (Anessa  and Miranda Tebworth) of Madoc, Adam West and Breanne Garmon (Gotham West) of Nanticoke, Ben Bartlett, and Josh Bartlett (Caleb, Ravyn, Rozalyn, Raychel, Remydi and Ryot) of Nanticoke. Lee is survived by her siblings Lynn (Wade) Lyon and Drew Zuber (Elaine Cooper). Peacefully with his family by his side at the Brantford General Hospital, Brantford, ON on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in his 68th year. Survived by his mother Shirley (Knott) and predeceased by his father Larry Johnson. Beloved husband to Deborah (Williams) Johnson. Loving father to Justin, Jessica, Erin and Adam. Cherished grandfather to his grandchildren Rhett, Wyatt, Adleigh, Kyleigh, Carson. Darryl will be missed by his sisters Sherry, Gloria, Marjorie and his mother-in-law Lorna Williams. Predeceased by his brother Dale and his father-in-law Clem Williams. For the last 28 years Darryl was an employee of Fleetway Transport, Brantford. Darryl has been driving trucks for the last 46 years. Darryl could be found out on the golf course with his friends or sitting in the garage watching the Toronto Maple Leafs trying to win the Stanley Cup or watching the Toronto Blue Jays winning a spot into the World Series. With deep sadness, the family announces the passing of Gary during his second battle with cancer on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in his 74th year. Remembered by his wife Janice (nee. Stratford) of over 50 years.  Cherished father of Alicia (Aaron Johnson), Natalie (Daniel Painchaud) and proud Papa of Chelsey.  Gary is survived by his brother Grant (Bonnie) and family; sibling-in-laws Margaret, Randy, Patricia, Nancy and their families.  Gary was able to connect with birth siblings Bill Merry (Lynda) and sister Linda Clarke in 2019.  Predeceased by parents Craig and Wilda Anderson; parents-in-law George and Joan Stratford and by brother-in-law Gary Stratford (Karen).  Gary grew up working on the family farm in Villa Nova and did custom farm work with York Farms.  Gary spent many years with McBurney Transport and IFS, and was a founding member of ICI Carriers, retiring in 2019.  Visitation will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Waterford (519-443-5332) on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 7 – 9 p.m. with a Masonic service being held at 6:45 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the chapel.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Personal online condolences can be made at www.thompsonmottfuneralhome.com
