Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Connie Bronson, passed away peacefully on May 9th, 2024 with family by her side at Grandview Lodge, Dunnville, in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late George Basil Bronson (1966). Loving mother of Murray (Linda) of Burlington, Mark (Brenda) of Dunnville, and Andrew (Heather)of Aurora, Illinois. Proud grandmother of Timothy, Laura, Michael (Olivia), Tyler, Luke, Mandye (Mark), James (Jill Marie), Abbey (Todd), Jana (Ben), Drew, Connie and Trent. Great grandmother of Noah, Selah, Lily, Kai, Owen and Audrey. Connie is survived by her sister Patricia Alfieri and sister-in-law Eileen Forrester. Predeceased by her sisters Gloria Piper and Dorothy McIntyre. Connie was born in Buffalo, NY. In her pre-teens, Connie moved to her aunt and uncles farm in Wellandport along with her sister Patricia, shortly after both parents had passed. Upon completion of high school Connie pursued further education and commitment to her faith while attending Hamilton Business School and Eastern Pentecostal Bible College. While serving in ministry in Cornwall, ON Connie met and married the love of her life Basil Bronson. Ill health resulted in Connie becoming a young widow left to raise 3 sons on her own. At that time, she returned to Dunnville to be closer to her family of origin who offered the stability and comfort required in raising her young family. Our mother lived her adult life for her 3 boys, ensuring that they had a firm foundation in faith, hope and love. Connie was a dedicated and faithful member of Maple Creek Community Church (formerly Dunnville Gospel Church) for over 50 years serving in various capacities and enjoying the fellowship, camaraderie, and personal growth this vibrant community offered. Connie’s search to know her Heavenly Father led her into a deep love for nature, glorying in the beauty and splendour evident through creation. She developed a keen talent for painting and continued to develop her artistic ability with the written word through her poetry. Due to these hobbies Connie became a vibrant member of the Dunnville Craft Guild for many years, making many wonderful friends who shared her creativity. We give thanks for our mother, grandmother and great grandmother who leaves us a rich legacy of faith and value in a life well lived. Visitation for Connie will be held at Maple Creek Community Church, 110 Inman Rd, Dunnville, on Friday, May 17th from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Maple Creek Community Church on Saturday, May 18th at 1p.m. Interment  to follow at Zion Cemetery. HANNIGAN, Wendy Lou (nee Kramer)

May 6, 2024

February 8, 1954 – May 3, 2024 It is with heavy hearts that loved ones share, that Wendy’s long struggle with C.O.P.D. is now over.  Might we encourage everyone who was lucky enough to have known her not to cry and/or mourn her passing, but rather celebrate that you had the opportunity to know her, work with her, play with her, witness and experience her amazingly caring personality and sense of humour. Celebrate the fact that she made our lives better on so many levels simply by being herself. Wendy was the daughter of Jack Kramer and Joyce Burris of Hagersville.  She leaves behind her husband Edward, her daughter Katie, grandchildren Shelby, Brayden and Aaron, brothers Bob Kramer (Deanie), Rick Kramer, many nieces, nephews and extended family members – Kevin, Kalvin, Kenny and Olivia Factor.  Might we encourage everyone to take a moment and reflect on her influence in our lives and give up a sincere, thankful prayer because were it not for her, our lives would be quite incomplete. “Thank you Baby for loving me enough to take the time and effort to mold me into the man I have become.  God bless.” In keeping with Wendy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life in honour of Wendy at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Caledonia (905-765-2712).  In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the West Haldimand General Hospital and Health Care Foundation.  Friends are invited to send condolences and sign the Book of Memories at https://www.millerfuneralchapel.ca

Carol was a naturally gifted athlete, albeit humble about her gifts. She played fastball for the 1971 Championship Thamesville Ladies Team and in 1987 she joined the Three Pitch Blues Sisters Team and was voted League MVP. Playing baseball forged bonds that transcended the game, creating lifelong friendships. As a piano teacher, she nurtured countless talents, instilling in her students not just musical skill but also a love for the art form. Her warm teaching style inspired all who had the privilege to learn from her. Beyond the music, she delighted in the simple pleasures of life such as baking bread, building jigsaw puzzles with a glass of chardonnay, reading a good crime novel, jogging with friends and family, and crafting delectable meals, especially her world-renowned macaroni and cheese. Carol was happiest while enjoying the presence of her family over food and laughter. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was effortlessly the heart of all family-gatherings. In her final years, her smile and grace remained constant through the hardships that she faced. Though she has left this world, her legacy of love, grace, and devotion to her loved ones will continue through the many lives she has touched. A special thank you to the staff at Parkview Meadows Long-Term Care facility for the impeccable care that Carol received during her short stay.
